| The occupational health professionals of the department also provide training on lung function and hearing tests, on first aid procedures and medical preparedness to nurses & medical officers. Speciality medical examinations – if necessary - can be provided in cooperation with the other clinical departments of Sri Ramachandra Medical College & Research Institute (SRMC). |
Efforts towards ensuring safe and healthy working conditions are more effective by integrating these in a more system- oriented approach, such as in the form of occupational health and safety management systems (OHSMS). In several industrial sectors, the availability of a certified OHSMS is becoming a pre-requisite for continued business in global trade. Our service modules are already structured in such a way to assist industries in implementing an OHSMS and preparing the same for certification (such as OHSAS18001).
